Why Acumen? From its beginning in 1997 as a manufacturer of the UK's best selling self-fit alarm system, Acumen has become a leader in the design and manufacture of high quality motorcycle electronics. Indeed we are the only motorcycle electronics security company to have major product design and manufacturing facilities in the UK. Our professional fit Thatcham Standard and consumer fit devices are recognised internationally for their originality of design and standards of quality, reliability and innovation. Whether it's a simple scooter alarm or the high security Thatcham System, the customers seem to insist on Acumen. To further back this up, in RiDE Magazine's Rider Power Survey of October 2005 found that as a result of a survey of 11,000 motorcyclists, Acumen alarms were the least likely to leave you stranded and Acumen were the only alarms that had a 100% success rate of alarm reaction during a theft attempt. The Acumen cat 1 was also the ONLY system to achieve a 10/10 rating for build quality in the RiDE Alarm/Immobiliser test in Issue 109.
